Young Men and Little Girl

"Guest Mom," Aunt bowed politely, pointing his thumb into the front room.
"Who?" I asked, folding the paper, remove the glass eye.
"Do not know ma'am, have never come here."
I nodded. Risen with questioning mind, I'm sure visitors were not a friend of my business, because this Sunday. Nor you, because usually they call first to make sure I was home. Maybe distant relatives or old friends who do not know the customary habit?Could be.
Once opened the door I found a young man and young girl who was joking on the terrace. Brown-skinned man tanned, dressed in rather shabby. The lighter-skinned little girl, clad only with low quality materials. When she turns to me, immediately caught the light in his face that made me gasp a few moments. Ray's face was familiar to me. Although the shape of the nose and the eyes of the two guests are the same - which allowed me to quickly conclude that they are father and son - but I see another light on the child's face.
The young man turned to the door, at me. Immediately he stood up, nodded slightly and say good afternoon. I answered with a little shake of the head. Just a little. Giggles the little girl had stopped.Kupersilakan both entered, still with a little heart pounding. Who are they? Shabby man with sharp eyes. Obviously not here to ask for donations.
After we sat down, he began to introduce himself.
"I am Jaya, Auntie. And this Neyla," he said as he put his hand on the shoulder of the little girl.
Neyla. The name is so similar to my girl name first, Neyna.
"Sorry to disrupt holiday Auntie," he said. His voice was steady with clear intonation and eye contact so confidence.
I'm sure he's not vain. The way she talks and face-to-eye, it is not owned by anyone. Luckily, I treat it well, I thought. I looked at him more closely, try to explore more deeply who exactly the man in front of me was. He's quite handsome. Maybe misery makes it less manicured and looks older than actual age.
"I have a deposit of Neyna."
Neyna. He mentions the name of it! Instantly tighten my muscles.
"Sorry can only be delivered now," he continued. "Very late, but it is only now that we got into town."
He's out of her briefcase a package dingy flat and diulurkannya me. I accept the package and I opened one of its sides. Our Photos. Me, my husband, Andrew, and Neyna. Photos that were made when two of our children were little. Maybe new Neyna age girl in front of me was. So Neyna who have taken this picture from the living room, I thought.
"Neyna sorry not ask permission to take it and ask me to return here."
"Why did not he himself who handed it back to us?" The new hospitality began to appear instantly vanished. My attitude turned cold and stiff.
Memories on Neyna, my daughter had to reopen wounds of the past. Still clearly remember how children kukandung, kulahirkan and kubesarkan the heart to slap-slap my face. I do not know what had possessed her. Neyna is so sweet and refreshing the days of our family, little by little began to change after entering college.Initially, only join student activities only. Later he spent more time with friends in student organizations. At that time I began to call it.We had debated before finally reached an agreement that I will not forbid berkegiatan long as he is able to maintain academic achievement.
Sometime later he began to lazy to go home. Houses only used as a haven, a place to store items that need sometimes.Communication with me has dropped dramatically. I used to work as a friend to chat turned into a cashier who was only found at the time of need money. As soon as he seldom came home till sometimes I was shocked when they met. My girl is beautiful, clean and fragrant all of a sudden I've met have been so lazy to take care of themselves. He came to see me with a gaunt face, tired eyes, and clothes are stale. The next meeting is not met even more who had bushy black hair and beautiful with bangs that made him like a doll Barbee. The hair has been cut short because she felt too complicated care.
I started to have a reason to be angry and forbade berkegiatan, but he has denied. Even openly expressed his attitude toward me. Me that he said criticized the authoritarian, running the household and corporate leadership sekehendakku, without wanting to hear the proposal and vote oppression of others. Who does not get burned? Know what he's about domestic life? Especially about the company. Did not realize he was that perusahaanlah which allowed him to life like now?
"Companies that support our lives. You do not need to interfere in my business there because of the destruction of the company means the destruction of our lives," I said softly but sharply.
"Yes, indeed the company that makes us prosperous and rich. But remember Ma, it's not the work of Mama. The worker's spine. And all this time with Mama in the name of the company have been squeezing their power without a commensurate reward," shoutedNeyna aloud.
I was inflamed. "If you do not like the way my work, do not eat from my work. Go, find eating alone or stay here and lock your mouth!"
To her surprise, totally unexpected, Neyna accept my challenge. He opted out of the house. Leaving a life which has no lack of it and replace it with wildlife. Indeterminate-paced life. Sleep anywhere and eat from anyone. I do not know what exactly, I can not imagine.
I never intend to catch up because it did not have the heart, but before the intention that he would lead demonstrations kesampian demanding employee welfare improvement. So do not just fail to get him my wish, but melting also maafku for him. Since then I do not want to think about that boy again. I assume he is gone or dead. He's not my son anymore! Apparently his departure time, carrying a photo that is now in my hand.
"Why did not he return himself this picture?" I asked the rest of the anger of the past.
"He can not," said Jaya.
"Why?" I asked. "Scared to see me?"
"No," Jaya shook his head weakly. Flickered briefly. "He can not see anyone anymore," he continued softly, holding his breath.
"Sick?" I asked, still with pride.
Jaya shook his head. Without looking at me she said the words, "Neyna already .... Go. Half a year ago." And the man in front of me that was wiping tears from her eyes that float.
I threw myself. Not intentionally. Indeed I was so hurt by ulahnya and has intended no longer regard it as my daughter, but this news is so tore my feelings. Neyna, cantikku daughter was gone forever ...
"I'm sorry, I can not keep it," the man has been able to master his feelings. His manner was calm again. "Everything went so fast. One day I suddenly encountered Neyna vomiting blood. At that time I also take him to hospital. Some days there, doctors recommend that brought home only. Malignant cancer in her lungs had spread to the organ- other organs and medical teams could not do anything, "he paused, sighed. "One of my all this time never pay attention to his health."
We were silent for some time. Each soluble with memories and regrets.
"You're her husband?" I asked later by a more conciliatory tone. He looked at me briefly before nodding uncertainly. "Sorry, I did not ask permission first aunt."
"So this child Neyna," I said softly, almost to himself. "If allowed, I'll nurture him," I said suddenly.
Jaya smiled. "Thanks Auntie, he is my breath. So I could not leave him. Although I can not give the luxury of him."
I just slapped with an answer. But I held did not give any reaction on that answer.
Soon the man excused himself. I'll walk up to the fence. As I opened the door, could I ask, where they live.
"We're on the slopes of Mount Geni. I worked with people who could lose their lives, because the development plans of national parks," said Jaya.
Then they passed. Before they were riding public transportation is really gone, still have time I saw a tiny hand waving to me that cleansed Jaya child with a wave as well.
I'm still standing on the fence even though both my guests had disappeared along with public transportation that brought them.Suddenly I remembered, my husband come home soon. And he was not allowed to know what happened. So immediately I closed the gate and stepped inside. Washing face and went back to sit in front of the television, while flipping pages in the Sunday paper.
